Releases of the Week
Hi all, rather than pick one release of the week this week I have decided just highlight a few noteworthy death metal albums that were released over the past few days.
One was released prior to new music Friday, one on Friday and one on Monday.
The first release album was released on 17/04:2025 and comes from Australian band Anoxia. The album is titled ‘Revel in Sin’ and is one that is worth checking out for those who prefer some good straight ahead OSDM.
The next album was released on Friday, 18/04/2025. The album is ‘Ego Dissolution’ by Ancient Death. Whilst I think this is something that everyone who likes death metal should check out, this one is a bit more dynamic and interesting than your typical death metal, showcasing more interesting songwriting. This band are from the USA.
The final release of this week came out on 21/04/2025 from Finland. This one is ‘Bloom of the Abnormal Flesh’ by Morbific. I’ve been a fan of this band for a while and this did not disappoint me. It has a swampy edge present in a lot modern death metal without ever losing its routes. Think Autopsy at times. This is probably my favourite of the three.
