New vinyl to find room for
Today I went and bought myself a record that should have been in my collection all along. Not because it’s a particularly revered classic, but because of how much it means to me personally.
Long before I was into the realms of extremity that death and black metal offer, there was HIM. The Finnish goth metal band that started it all for me.
I can’t remember exactly how I got into them, but they were my first musical obsession. The first band I ever owned every album by and the first band I went out my way to collect merch and shirts for. I even had a cool ring.
Out of all of their albums, my favourite and most played was Razorblade Romance. Though the track list on this release is different than my CD copy back then. The album released with a few different track lists in different places for reasons I’ve never bothered to check out.
Anyway, though different to the one I’m accustomed to, I’m very happy to have this one in my collection. Next up is a heartagram tattoo.
